About
I am Patrick Baracho Dittrich and currently a research assistant and master’s student with a research focus on neuroscience and machine learning. My work includes EEG data analysis, research, and investigating and understanding new methods in ML to support ethical, Neuroscience and open science practices.
I am currently working on the EUonAir project, where I am researching and implementing methods in the field of web crawling. I am also working on my Master’s thesis on understanding existing ML technologies and applying them on EEG data for analysis of mental disorders.
My academic career began with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Informatics at the University of Heidelberg, where I am currently also pursuing my Master’s degree. In addition to research, I have experience in academic teaching, including the supervision of several tutorials and support in practical courses of the Bachelor’s program in Medical Informatics.
Technically, I have knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, R and JavaScript, with which I regularly work and create teaching content.
My personal motivation for scientific work is to make knowledge openly accessible, to make medical research more transparent, accesible and ethical and to open up innovative perspectives through new findings. I always follow the principles of open science and ethical responsibility.
